A musical highlight in the cultural calendar of the city of music
on Lake Constance are the concerts of the International

outstanding musicians and renowned university professors,
lead the master classes in the subjects violin, violoncello
and piano. They traditionally open the academy with
the faculty concert on August 4th in the Christuskirche.
When teaching the daily master classes in the following
week, interested visitors can learn how to file
and interpretation and can be followed directly in a
series of open-air and evening concerts the young course participants
with the results on various concert stages
experience. The highlight of the summer academy is the
Final concert with award ceremony in the Christuskirche.
This will be followed in September by the conducting master class under the
headed by the Zurich professor Johannes Schlaefli. In this
2nd part of the Summer Academy, offered for the first time in 2016
six selected female and male conductors will receive
conductors the opportunity to work with the Bodensee Philharmonie
Constance to develop a highly demanding concert program
and bring it to a stage.
