Prof. Anke Dill (violin)

Anke Dill | Violin
was born and raised in Stuttgart (Germany) and studied with Nora Chastain, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Yair Klees and Donald Weilerstein. Winner of numerous awards and prizes, she performs as soloist and chamber musician in varying ensembles all over Europe, Japan, China and the United States.
She performs on festivals such as the „Schleswig Holstein Festival“, „Brahms Festival“, the „Salzburger Festspiele“, the „Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence“, in the USA at the „Aspen Music Festival“ in Colorado, in major concert halls such as the Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Liederhalle Stuttgart. Concerts with fame soloists, CD productions and radio and TV recordings attest to her artistic versatility. With Jacob Leuschner she has played all Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert cycles for piano and violin several times. Dill started her teaching activity 2001 at the Musikhochschule Lübeck. She gives regular Masterclasses at the International Summer Academy Lenk (CH). 2004 she was called to become professor at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. 2009 she founded the Bartholdy Quintet together with Ulf Schneider, Barbara Westphal, Volker Jacobsen and Gustav Rivinius.

Prof. Gustav Rivinius (cello)

Gustav Rivinius | Cello
started his cello studies at the age of six with Hermann Dirr in Munich. Later he studied many years with Ulrich Voss and Claus Kanngiesser, with David Geringas at the Juilliard School New York and, finally, with Heinrich Schiff in Basel, where he completed his studies with a soloist diploma.
He has won numerous competitions, on both national and international level. In 1990 he was awarded a first prize and Gold Medal at the 9th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. It was the first time this prize was awarded to a German musician, and the exploit was followed by a score of concert apparitions in all famed music capitals of Europe, Japan and the USA. Another side to Gustav Rivinius is his passion for chamber music. He appears regularly with leading colleagues such as Lars Vogt, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas and Sharon Kam. In the meantime, his first CD was releases, featuring sonatas by Brahms, Boccherini and B.A. Zimmermann. 1993 he recorded all of Beethoven‘s cello sonatas for the WDR in Cologne, 1995 he produced the collo concert of Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari. In addition to interpreting the standard repertoire, Rivinius dedicates himself intensively to contemporary music. Prof. Florian Wiek (piano)

Florian Wiek | Piano
was awarded first prizes at the Concurso Maria Canals and the „Deutscher Musikwettbewerb“ and performs on numerous international podiums. Beeing at home in most musical areas from the Baroque period to the latest compositions, his focus is on Viennese classical music.
His interpretations have been recorded by numerous radio and television companies and published on CD. Wiek‘s pianistic studies began with Monika Twelsiek and Rose Marie Zartner and led him to the Cologne University of Music and the Conservatoire national superieur de musique de Paris in the classes of Prof. Günter Ludwig and Pierre-Laurent Aimard. He completed his studies with the concert exam at the University of Music in Hamburg. In 2004 he has been appointed professorship for piano and chamber music at the HMDK Stuttgart and leads a successful class with numerous international award winners. This activity is supplemented by master classes in Europe and worldwide. He has also been in demand as a juror at international piano and chamber music competitions. Since 2020, Florian Wiek directs the chamber music festival “Resonanzräume” in Stuttgart and, together with his wife Anke Dill, the Mozart Society Stuttgart.

Johannes Schlaefli
As professor for orchestra conducting at the Zurich University of the Arts Johannes Schlaefli since 1999 built up the most significant conducting department in Switzerland. It now is regarded as the most successful and appealing institute for conductors in Europe.
Schlaefli is much in demand as tutor at places all over the world: Invitations to the Juilliard School New York, Sibelius Academy Helsinki, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, to universities in Berlin, Vienna, Hamburg, Weimar, Oslo, to the Aspen Music Festival and as “Head of Teaching” at the Academy of the Menuhin Festival Gstaad do attest to this impressively.
Alongside to his engagement as conducting teacher he has been appointed Principal Conductor of the Collegium Musicum Basel.
